Halloween

Hey There Pun’kin!

I’ve said it before – the September My Monthly Hero kit is one of my favorites! And probably will be for quite some time. It’s what I used to create this card. That color layering pumpkin patch is just too cute!

I’ve seen several people use all sorts of color combinations with these stamps. For this card, I went the traditional route. The ground and vines are 2 layers, while the pumpkins are 2 additional layers. I used all Hero Arts inks for this card. For the ground and vines layer, I used a couple of shades of green like Key Lime Fizz and Moss, with a little bit of Cup o’ Joe brown ink on the back to create depth. I then used Creamsicle and Carved Pumpkin (Distress Ink) for the pumpkin layers. I used Intensified Black ink for the cute little pumpkin faces.

The background was blended using Blue Hawaii and ??? inks. I stamped the clouds using a couple of the images from the Mountains At the Lake stamp set from Hero Arts and Versamark ink. I then covered them in white embossing powder and heat embossed them for white, fluffy clouds.

I layered everything on an A2 card base and felt like it needed one more thing to make the scene complete. So I stamped the scarecrow from the kit using the same Intensified Black ink as the pumpkin faces. I was so thankful for the dies that come with the set so I didn’t have to cute this tiny image out (LOL).

To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from the kit. Stamped it with Versamark ink and white heat embossed it to make it stand out on the black cardstock. I added some foam tape to the back of the back of the sentiment, added it to the card and that completed the card.

Thanks for checking out my card. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll get back with you. Have a great day!

Enjoy!
