Card Making Techniques-

Die Cutting-

Ink Blending Highlights For A Winter Card

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Today I’m sharing with you a card I made a while ago and actually recorded a video for. Life happened and my focus was needed elsewhere. So though this card and video feature a poinsettia, the technique of highlighting details on die cuts can be applied anytime.

One way that I like to draw attention to different aspects of my creations is by adding highlights to them. I can do that by highlighting edges, underneath the element or in the center. For this card, I really wanted to highlight the details in the poinsettia die cut. This poinsettia is in the Lovely Layers collection from Honey Bee Stamps and if you have ever had any of the dies in this collection, you know that they are fantastically detailed. Adding light inking to the detailed areas of the layers really takes the assembled die cut image to a new level.
