Raid Your Stash!

Hey everyone! There are so many paper crafting companies out there that are releasing new products weekly. I love seeing all the new products, and especially all the beautiful creations that are made with them.

What I want to remind us of though is that most of us have lots of unused products in our stash already. So go raid your stash! That’s what I did with these cards. And I’m so happy I did.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I decided to rifle through my stash. My paper stash is a decent size, including papers that go all the way back to when I scrapbooked. I made so beautiful discoveries, including a set of papers from Heidi Swapp that admittedly I was hoarding. I was so afraid to use them because I didn’t want to run out of them. I have since gotten over that. : ) One of the papers had scallops going across them and I knew I wanted to use this one first.

One of the reasons I was hoarding these papers is that these are no ordinary papers. These papers have areas that have a coating on them that makes them resist ink. So I grabbed my ink blending brushes and got to work.

Of course one card had to include ocean colors. I decided to go with rainbow colors for the second card. I kept the sentiments simple by stamping images from the “Thinking of You” stamp set by The Stamping Village. I stamped the images on scraps of Neenah Classic Crest solar white card stock to complete the card.

And that was it! Easy peasey! Do you have a stash you need to raid? If you do, let me know in the. Moments below what you find that you forgot about. I hope your discovery is as good as mine.

Enjoy!
